History
Transwall is a well-established developer and manufacturer of moveable floor-to-ceiling and architectural (relocatable) wall systems. Founded in 1963 in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, we have positioned ourselves firmly in the relocatable wall segment of the contract interiors industry. Noted for high quality products and superior services, Transwall has carved out a strong market for itself in eastern markets. We are also a long-standing and trusted supplier to the federal government with installations throughout the US.
In 1998, Transwall was sold to Kimball International.
After successfully integrating Transwall’s systems furniture line, REASONS into the Kimball Office brand, Transwall became focused exclusively on the design, manufacture, sales and service of relocatable walls. We currently produce two relocatable wall products: Corporate Wall and ZWall.
In September of 2005, the management and previous owners of Transwall signed a definitive agreement to purchase Transwall and the REASONS product back from Kimball.
While Transwall continues to focus on growing the wall segment of the business, we are very excited about the return of the REASONS product line to the company.
Transwall introduced the REASONS line in the mid 90’s as a simple, yet highly effective panel system providing panel height-adjustability, off-modular connectivity and high capacity data-cable management. REASONS was an immediate success, and was promptly absorbed into the parent’s product line following the completion of the acquisition in 1998. |
